Got the yamahaxs650.com 750 kit installed in the '75 model (bagger), but the cam chain tensioner presented a problem:

Well....this ain't gonna work:umm: (Also nice shot of the new engine stand adapter from Chop Source....works great!)

This is with the chain properly adjusted - with ~1mm plunger rod movement while rolling the motor - the adjuster bolt is waay too long!
The tensioner assembly is the one that came out of the motor it is a "C type" assembly: obviously won't work in the BBK cylinder set-up

Luckily, the spare motor came with an "E type" tensioner assembly - Let's try that!

Now to try and shoehorn this thing back home into the frame..........

Man, those jugs look so....beefy!! 😍

For some reason I thought there was something written on their site about it only working with a later style tension.

I’m not sure how I would have known any other way.

JP - I agree thats a clever engine stand because that mount has been designed to still allow access (tightening when putting the case halve together) to that bolt on the top of the cases.
My homemade engine stand does everything except allow access to that bolt
Regards Ray.
