I bought a Bikemaster trugell battery model YTZ10S Its a
12v 10ah/r -8.5?
normal charging amps .85a
max charging current 2.55
120cca
Normal application is for a 03-06 honda 600rr street bike
Bike has factory charging system, kick only. Only has head/tail light/instrument lights.

I had the bike idling for about 5mins to warm up while I put my gear on, backed it out of the drive way put it in gear and it zonked out then a few seconds later heard a pop, thought it was a back fire, then noticed smoke from under the seat. Pulled the pan off and the sealed top was off and 2 of the "tube covers" and the groud wire was fried.
I put a stock battery on it and it fired up and seamed to run fine.
Ive been using this battery no problems for about a month now.
Think it was a problem with my bike or the battery before I go to the shop tomorrow and cash in on the warranty?
