Brake screw?

What’s the little screw at top of the caliper for?
screw-in or out or what?
just went left side disc only and bled brakes. no feel to lever but caliper is moving. Looks like screw is holding pad kind of cockeyed. Not sure what’s going on but no brakes.
anyone have a good diagram of the caliper and pads, the clymer one is useless.

The little screw on the back of the caliper screws through the eyelet on top of the brake pad. It just holds everything in place.
