brake switch fuse location

Hi guys starting to run lighting circuits on my 81 build. This is the wiring that I used, it shows the fuse after brake switch for the tail light but can I put the fuse before the brake switch and still be protected. It would just save me some headache. I'm using an auto fuse block instead of in line fuses.

Yes, its best to have it before the switch.
