If I won that bid I wouldn't want ANYONE opening it or touching it! That ruins that value of what the listed item actually IS. I would also want to be the one that cuts the straps, IF I chose to at all.

I cut the straps on my '02 SV650. 68K miles ago anyway. Amazing to find these things turning up for sale.

Think about this lads. Would you buy a car that was in a cardboard box? Would you buy an electronic product that you have never laid your eyes on? Would you buy a power boat/sail boat that you have never sat in?

I think you would be pretty dumb to buy a motorcycle that you have not sat on, or kicked the motor over, or heard it run.

That's a long time in a box................caveat emptor.

There is a guy around here that, supposedly, has a late '60s BSA still in the box. I don't believe it. It would be really cool though.
