Throwing these up on here before they hit eBay.

Got them in a parts lot. 1 of them appears to have been rebuilt and then shelved. It is missing a couple small things in the choke linkage.

The other one is pretty clean inside and the bowl gaskets actually looks pretty good but it's missing a float pin. Looks to have been rebuilt at some point and shelved as well. Choke linkage is complete.

$200 for the pair + shipping!
Seems to be a fair price for two mostly complete carb racks 🤷

Would also be willing to trade the better of the 2 for a VM34 carb.

Does everything move ? how are the +40 year old the diaphragms ? I'm looking for a set but I'm honestly reluctant to spend $200 + and possible not be able to combine these to a working set without adding another couple of hundred bucks for diaphragms , gasket rebuild kit, float etc.

Honestly the diaphragms look great to me. Everything seems to move freely to me. I don't have a whole lot of experience with the 38's, most of my knowledge is with the 34's. That being said I'm confident that between the 2 of these you could make one great set. I think the only thing that will be needed is a new gasket kit and maybe jets, depending on what your air filter/exhaust set up is.
