Ok so this winter I'm going to pull a lot off my bike and get to butifying that bad boy. I'm hoping for some input from a few people who know what there doing. #1 the seat springs use rivit nut on the cross member. They like to slip out and there not in the location. Would welding over the holes be sufficient as far as frame integrity goes? For new nuts I want to drill and self a flat weld but in place. Good idea or no? Wiring, I hant to hide some wires. Same issue with the hole location for the brake light wire. Will drilling a small hole in the hard tail (top and bottom for brake light and switch) compromise frame integrity? Of so what are some good ideas to run wires and not have zip tied wires all over? Lastly frame clean up. I want to fill any low spots with welds and grind flat. Any other ideas or this work? He seemed to have decent welds but there ugly as hell. That's about it for now. Sorry about the long post but thank you for your ideas.
