Cable lubrication

I have a pressure lube adapter for cable lube and I have used various spray lubes (WD40 variety) to lube the cables which is thin and watery. Seems like a little more "body" would be desirable. Would spray White Lithium Grease work well for this application?

I use motor oil, 10w-30 if I have it. The manual recommends it too.

PJ1 cable lube works. maybe im just a sucker.
