Hello group. I have been riding without a fairing and I am considering putting a cafe fairing on my bike. I have the fairing but will have to make the mounts. What is the vote yeh or neh? I will be down for a new chain and I am thinking of x-ring. Any thoughts. Thanks for your opinions. Tony C.

Nice bike! It looks like you've sought a vintage look with the exhaust, fork gaiters and the seat. Just my humble opinion - I'm not sure a fairing would quite further that look, but it's what you think that counts. If you put it on and don't like it, you can always take it off. :bike:

The universal fairings look right enough on them IMO. Not really much on wind control, I look at them as window dressing.
As far as X-ring, YES, YES, YES. Excellent choice. Keep it clean and lubed and you may never wear out a 530 X-ring on an XS650. I have over 20K on my 525 X-ring on my SV650, and I'll never use another chain.
