Hi fellow Canadian xs650 riders and all others as well,
I am sure you Kanucks are aware of the difficulties in finding gear, and especially tires at decent prices in Canada, since our market here is tiny compared to the neighbors down south. I just went on a mission to find some dual sport tires, and since availability here north of the 49th is what it is, namely limited, I looked for sellers in the US who would NOT double the price with inflated shipping costs. I found my two tires and bought from sellers who charged a very fair price for shipping: below $20 for tire shipping , whereas the rule is anywhere between $50-$70 to send it north.
I hope that it is OK to mention them here favorably, they are: http://stores.ebay.ca/smithfamilypowersports/ , where I found my Vee Rubber front knobby, and http://stores.ebay.ca/smalltiresstore/ where I found my rear dual sport tire. Hope this helps some Canadians to find good stuff and keep some international trade going without falling of the flesh...Cheers, J
