Carb - Has anyone used these rebuild kits? I have a 74 TX650. Just want to make sure that I am buying the right kits for the carbs on the bike. A few things have been from different year bikes thus far https://yamahaxs650.com/product/carb-rebuild-kit-3/ I need new rubber intake rubber front are rear as well.
Fork - Where would someone source a set of 34mm fork tubes?? Is used a good idea? I cant seem to find any replacements on parts sites!!
Yes, that's the kit sold for your carbs but the included jets are the wrong size and the Y-22 needle can't be used because it's 5 or 6mm too short, lol. Honestly, kits aren't recommended. You're better off just buying any parts you may need individually. If you're careful on disassembly, the original float bowl gaskets can be re-used, and there's no need to remove the choke assembly body from the carb body so that gasket isn't needed (just take the plunger out). If you're going to replace jets, get genuine Mikuni ones. Same with the float needle and seat assembly (still available from Yamaha).
