carb problems

have 78 xs650 when riding and warmed up bike breakes up and will sometimes back fires when you nail it and or near full throttle. any help would be greatful

best carb guide one can find, especially the first link to the CV manual. I like to think, my understanding of carbs has come a long way since reading and re-reading the carb guide.

Be aware that many so-called carb problems are actually electrical problems.
