Thought I'd finally post this little goodie with everybody. Riding down the ol' road one day, she's bangin' on both just fine then: -stumble-pop-stumble- I look down the right side, fine. I look down the left side.... to see the carb hanging!:yikes: When I got the bike there were no airboxes, and since early parts are a premium:banghead:. Time to get out the welder!!

FYI the plate is from a set of bs34s with the two rear holes enlarged slightly.

2 pieces of 1/2"x1/16" flat bar 5" long, 2 5/16" flat washers, and a top plate from a set of BS34's. I contured them with vise and persuader, ground the angle on both pieces, mounted the carbs with the top plate on the bike, bolted the washers to the top mount, and welded the straps between.

Easy as cake:D

....Funny thing is, when the carb blew out, it damaged the boot. With the support I was able to run the rest of the season --problem free:pimp:-- yes.... I was pleased. I pulled the head for a passing inspection and gasket refresh. I've installed JBM's since, still have the bracket on too.:bike:
