Chain tension spring

Hello people I'm wondering where can I find a spring for a chain tension like the monster craftsman uses I've truer calling them but I guess they are closed for the holidays so I'm reaching out to Xs world. Thanks

You could probably find a torsion spring to work at Mcmaster Carr.

you can get these clamps for a buck at homedepot. use the spring in it. it may be worth a try, ive thought about it.

I have an original one from the monstercraftsman tensioner...

It wasnt working out where I originally mounted mine, so I wanted to move it to make it more efficient.

Instead of cutting, cleaning, rewelding, painting etc- I had them send me out a reverse spring.. I figured out I could flip the thing over & it would still work better...

I have the original spring somewhere.. Im going to my shop tonight after work, so Ill see if I can find it.

Fellas thanks for the replies, i think in gonna try the clamp spring, hell why not its worth a shot. i"ll update when im done.

I made my own tensioner too. I got my spring at Grainger.

Put the quarter in there for size reference...

Its available if you need it.
