Just got a set of carbs cleaned and working but the steel ball were mia on the choke shaft. Can anyone tell me what size they are? Thanks:banghead:

Go to the parts store and get some grease fittings. Use the ball and spring inside the fitting for the carb they work great. Seems to be a topic about this several times a week.

Pen spring is too big. You will have to rewind it to get it to fit. Tried it. The grease zerk ball and spring fits fine, or so they say.

Yes grab a zerk fitting, lightly drill until the ball releases from the zerk and you get both the ball and the spring. If you have the brass float BS34s go buy a metric 90 degree zerk from the auto store the drilled out zerk can be threaded in place of the drain plug, push a piece of clear plastic tubing on it and you have a fuel level check tool. Setting the floats with a ruler is a first step, checking the fuel level with a sight gauge often shows up the cause of carb issues.
