You can buy new ones from your favorite OEM parts supplier. Were you aware of that?

While you are at it. I believe an older speedometer which reads 120 mph is a fun option. Ask other members to confirm but Ive actually done this to my XJ650RJ and put "special" gauges on a standard XS recently

I have a spare speedo with chrome housing. Going off memory I think it's in good shape. I'll check tonight when I get home from work.

Thanks! Duck777 is my neighbor. He's not into computers or techy at all. Matter of fact, he just got a smart phone. Haha! I've been shopping on here and that XS site.....didn't think to go straight to the Yamaha. The obvious.

Curious, how much does a chrome gauge bucket cost at a Yamaha dealer ? I've noticed just the rubber rim gasket is a $20 at least.. and thats why I enjoy the hunt for used parts.. And I would be happy to have 2 rim gaskets on my shelf if anyone would mail em to me for a reasonable price ? Thx RT
