Last summer I had no highway pegs just the crash bar
so just about every time I went to put my feet on the crash bar my boot would hit the exhaust
I have tried goof off / WD40 /gas /carb cleaner /brake cleaner/carefully scraping with a razor blade to get the rubber off any suggestions

I hear that Easy Off oven cleaner will work, just don't get it on paint.

Yup, works great.
Beware! Oven cleaner is highly corrosive and will leave nasty scars on your skin.
Wear eye protection & rubber gloves and be prepared to throw away any clothing that the cleaner gets spilled on.
Apply oven cleaner to your chrome's bootmarks by placing a cleaner-soaked 4-ply patch of paper towel over the boot-mark like a bandaid.
Leave to sit for a while then hose it off.

I would think good paint remover would smash anything, but maybe not.

Looks like I have a solution to my problem
Thanks Guys !!

Get the brush-in-cap package not spray can......Much easier to apply ONLY where needed. I have used it and it works!
I never knew they had a brush on I guess I will have to do a little research
