clutch cable length

I am going to put 12 inch apes on an 81 special and was told the stock cables should be long enough. Can anyone confirm that? Also I wanted to switch to the ez pull cables on 650 central and was wondering; if I needed a longer cable than stock, would the 61 inch cable be to long?

I'm not sure about your second question, pahako, but I have clubmans on my cafe-roadster, and the stock cable is just about right. So with those apes, I can't imagine that the stock cable would accommodate that comfortably. But someone on here, or Mike at 650Central, will certainly know.

MMM at 650 Central makes them in a variety of lengths. Looks like the Hi Bars are the ones you want.
