76 side stand has wobble to it due to the bolt hole getting worked over the years, is there a cure other than a new stand?
Doesnt seem like there is enough meat to drill for larger hole and starting fresh, or install bushing.
Any ideas?

Photos? Is it just the side stand bolt hole that’s worn ? Or is it a combo of the frame mounting ear AND the side stand hole? It could always be built up with welding and redrilled. You will probably need to remove the side stand so you can better assess the repair.

Here is a descent one on my 82 frame.
IDK if they are the same length.

Nope, the '76 stand is an oddball one year only stand. It's also a clevis mount. Good luck finding one.

Yep, 76 has 2 tangs on the stand, straddling the frame tab.
Upon further review, the hole isnt that bad, its mostly due to the tangs spreading and the inside of the back tang which has worn down effectively increasing the spread. It already looks like it was welded once to build up material, may have to rinse and repeat.
Thanks

It's been a few years but I took one off a late 70's Kawasaki KZ650. Simple looking kickstand. Don't recall a whole lot of MacGyvering. I did spend the money once and buy the Chrome weld on kickstand from TC Bros. Has the internal ball and spring. This had a lot of slop. Didn't retract tight enough for my liking. Worth the $? My opinion, NO. Of course your exhaust setup determines a lot too. What you can get away with. Hence the ugly stock kickstands with loopy weld ons. I LOVE the classic Triumph Bonnevile kickstands. Simple bent round stock. Biggest piece of shit stock kickstands I've seen, the one on my dads 82' CB900C.
