Custom drive breather

It broke and having a hard time ordering it from the e-bay. I wonder if you guys made a custom one. Looking for inspiration.

What the hell is a custom drive breather?

Thats on top of the rear wheel drive housing on an Yamaha Xs shaft drive. No I haven't made a custom one. I thought there would be plenty about in wreckers yards.
Would not be too hard to make if you have a lathe. I had to heat the hell out of the case to get my one out, it is easy to deform them as they are only thin.

Probably a completely stupid suggestion but have you tried getting one from a Yamaha dealer?
This is for a V Max but it may well fit other models.

Max thats a good thought. I once ( about 5 years ago) got a set of XS crank bearings from a dealer cheaper than any of the sources. Sadly those are all gone now.

On the industrial gearboxes we use on our winches offshore, there are always breather plugs. A generic breather may work, and cost almost nothing. McMaster Carr or Graingers should have a selection
