CX650 (lack of) progress report.

Can you utilize an English wheel to remove small dents from an XS650 fender?

I have worked a little as a Tinsmith for Aircondition .. But no fancy work
I Once tried to straighten a fender XS 650 if i recall right the dent was on the outer chromed part
and there was an inner fender . So there was no possibility to hammer on the right surface if I recall right.
That makes it impossible with the English wheel.

I have a set of those hammers and dollys .But cannot really get the hang of it .
Curved surfaces and hard hammers and dollys .Important to hit straight

What I sometimes have had a bit of success with is a small leather bag wit gravel inside
That one can be formed and don't give any sharp edges .. tapping with a soft mallet on the other side
Tinsmiths have plastic and wood hammers
One can make a wood stick with suitable curvature and tap on .

I remember that copper and in this case aluminum can be formed in a grove in a log.
A log cut and in the cut surface make a cup. against the cup metal is hammered.
In small steps I don't know why but It worked excellent the one time I did it
A copper ladle
