3D printed a dashboard for the VStrom (full disclosure, not my design) Worked out well.

Do you think it will hold? Watching closely on longevity of 3d printed parts.
I heard someone made a g. U. N. And fired it 300 times before failure.
Is the surface rough? Does it look mold injected?

Only time will tell Angus. My confidence if putting it on the XS would not be so high. I've seen that doll bring stronger parts to their knees lol. My dashboard is 4mm thick (0.157) and not as high quality as an injected molded part. A friend of my son's did it for me from a design I copied and rendered into a 3D print file. These printers will do various types of plastic, I'm not sure what type this part is. I do know these printers have to be "dialed" in to get real high quality, precision parts out of them. This part while not as smooth as an IM part it's pretty good. Again I think that depends on the printer's settings. Let me get some miles on the strom and we'll see how it fares. If anyone is interested in the svg or stl file just let me know.
