Do Harley sportster fix stock mount are they two stiff?

Meant do they fit in the stock shock mounts?

Looking in to lowering my XS 1.5". I know people use the Honda Rebel shocks, but I'm a fan of chrome. Anyone have any exerperiance with Harley Shocks, do they fit the stock mounts and how is the ride?

I've got some sportster shocks on one of mine but they are about 13" long. Had to file a mm or two off the bottom eye to make them fit. They seem to handle OK, and are firmer than the stock shocks, which is a good thing.
