Hi fellas, This will be my first message on this forum having been bitten by the XS650 bug after my son asked me to rebuild his engine for him. (I've been a car man for years hence my username.) I enjoyed it so much that I found a project on eBay that I could mess with. After lurking in the forum during the engine rebuild I decided to join you and here I am.

The bike I have is a UK 1979 650SE that has already had the seat rail and suspension bobbed/chopped and a longer swingarm fitted and it is this last item that I'm trying to identify. It appears to be a mono-shock arm but off what? It measures 530mm from the pivot to the centre of the rear spindle adjustment slot and 230mm between the two arms at the rear. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
