Does right cylinder run hotter than left on these bikes?

Aluminum is to infrared what a mirror is to visible light. Measuring the temperature of aluminum with an infrared thermometer is like taking a picture of a mirror. It's possible but problematic.

Years ago, when I got my dyno going, I put thermocouples under the spark plugs on my bike to monitor temperature while riding so it could be replicated on the dyno. I did notice the right side running 5 - 10 degrees hotter, but only when idling at a stop. Going down the road, both cylinders were the same temperature. At a stop, the temperature would come down and the left cylinder would cool 5 - 10 degrees more than than the right.

Its an interesting phenomenon. Can't explain it. The temps don't differ any time that it actually matters so as far as I'm concerned there is no problem to solve.
