I just installed a Pamco E advancer and having trouble with timing, when I time it using timing light the pamco sensor has to be in the full advance position to get timing marks within the fire range at 1200 rpm, everything was installed and wired correctly
I have 60 degree rotor, all three locater pins are there, one at the sensor side and two for the advance replacer to lock the cam and advance rod together, it ran fine prior to installing the e advance. :banghead:

When you loosen the nut that holds the mechanical advancer replacement piece in place, you should be able to wiggle it back and forth to feel some play in your pins. When you tighten the nut, it automatically (because of friction) rotates your advance replacement clockwise.
If you hold the replacement piece as far counterclockwise as the play will allow, that will advance your timing.
