I have an early front brake rotor in my box of parts. What years had these with the bolt on carrier? Will they fit 77-79 standards? Thanks for any replies.
They will bolt onto the wheel but won't align properly with the new style caliper. Their offset only aligns with the old 2 piston calipers, which won't mount on the '77 and newer fork legs.
I believe this type of rotor gives more clearance between spokes and disc, which is nice if doing a caliper upgrade, with pistons on the inside of the disc. So in that respect, it should be better than the later 1-piece type. And maybe lighter also
