Hey all,

I am replacing my jugs from a 73 TX block to a replacement jug from Mikes. The new jug is XS Performance. I took the old guide stopper and attempted to use it again as it was fairly new from PO and the bolts were too small.

My question is do later years have a larger guide stop and bolts? If so then is it safe for me to buy a 74-80's guide stop and this will solve that problem?

Thanks for those who chime in I greatly appreciate it, I tried searching the forum and Google but couldn't find any clarity!

Your tension adjuster screw should unscrew from the old housing and screw right into the 750 cylinders, it did on my 75.
If it won't, then you will need a later model adjuster screw.
