question:
If the jetting were spot on and you removed the airbox covers, would it run like crap ? Basically I know nothing about carbs, but today I removed both airbox covers and took it for a ride and it rode just as good or better. It pulled cleanly all the way to redline. Wouldn't that mean the air/fuel mixture got better with more air ? I know that to really figure it out I have to remove the carbs, and I'm going to, but for right now I just want to pass emissions. My truck blew a headgasket today, and I'd like to ride my bike until it's fixed
