Even museums can get it wrong

Friend of mine went to a bike in Anamosia Iowa today and sent me this pic.To me the seat and bars look weird, mirrors not right.

But what is the thing between the pipes?

Yeah, that’s a little off. That thing between the pipes your seeing is the tach cable flopping loose.

The museum is excellent... I don't think they have room for another bike. Seat, bars and mirrors are replacements… I think it was donated... ?
If you plan a visit.. check the events calendar for the museum.. time the visit to a swap meet.. show... also... nearby is the state prison.. yup, they make lic/plates.... 1200 or so inmates...400 leave'n feet first. There is a interest'n museum on site...again check the prison calendar.

Yup lots of "as loaned" bikes, not your typical concours, pristine collection. More like as they were last ridden condition . Was there last summer.
