oh yeah, cutting the rear fender for it today. currently welding up the new battery box. im running nightster factory shocks. found this seat on the side of the road, it goes to a nordic track of some sort but it fits damn near perfect. it even has 10mm bolt holes in it. think im gonna do straight drags or mini Z's can't make my mind up yet. thought about clip ons too.

im a fan of brats as well . i had one but recently turned it into a hardtail .. some of the brat work was shady so i cut it all off.. id recomend stretching the swing arm.. helps lower the stance a bit .. here is what i used to ride

i like it man! how did you mount your rear fender? thats kinda where im at now.

the fender was mounted to a cross member between the shocks, very basic.. bounced around everywhere.. i didnt like it and wouldnt do it again. id figure a way to mount it to the swing arm

Has anyone ran rebel 250 rear shocks to lower there xs? Or whats a good shock that would lower it until i can rigid it? Pics?

you can use Rebel shocks or use Sportster shocks . 10.5 inch or 11.5 inch will lower it . i was directed to the sportster shock because i am a bit on the heavier side and its a stiffer spring . i was able to pick a set up used in excellent condition from the local bike garage for 40 bucks .. never mounted them and cut the brat off for a hardtail.. may brat the 78 i have

those sportster shocks didn't actually fit, i had to bore out the top bushing to make it work. i think those rebel shocks are a good idea. im thinking of switching these for the rebel shocks.

made a tag/brake/tail light braket today. used a harley blinker off an electra glide.
