Bob it!
Well, I am officially a shop now. I still do not have a website but I do have a few very happy customers!
I just completed this bike for a kid named Ryan. He wanted a brat look with rat and low budget in mind. I think I nailed it right on the head. The rattier the better he kept saying.
81 XS650
VIS Brat Kit
Peanut Tank
Biltwell Slimline Seat
TC Axle Mount Plate holder and Bobber Tail light
Flat shorty fender
Oldschool style Grips and throttle housing
Drag Bars
2-1 Exhaust with shorty universal muffler
Bobber style headlight
Custom wiring harness
led small round blinkers
black round mirrors
Rebel shocks
Filter Pods
Kick Only with a ton of electrical items deleted.
Very small battery
Customer wanted the welds left alone as well as the finish to be raw.
Fast, low, and fun bike. Seat is a little small for my liking and I would need forward controls myself but Ryan loves the bike.
Before:
Ready for cutting.
The final result....
My other happy customers are a couple of Triumph owners. One is the original owner of a 72 Bonneville. It stopped running good in 1983. We dug it out of his spare bedroom where it sat since 83, got it fired up, cleaned up and put new rubber all around as well as a full top end overhaul.
And a 98 Sprint that had been bought as a basket case and the owner spent 2k else where to have it not run. Sat for a year. After flushing the 2 gallons of gas out of the crankcase and a new plug it was running on all 3 very nicely. Added some pods and re-jetted the carbs and has been on the road ever since!
