Nothing like that ever happened in Calgary before as far as I know . Looks bad , like spring time in Winnipeg .
Thank you guys for your concern. Where I live, our house is about 100 feet higher in elevation as compared to the Bow river, so no worries here.
We also had bad flooding here in 2005, and they called that one a once in a 100 year flood. But this flood is much worse than the 2005 one, so maybe this one is a once in 1000 year flood
Actually its much worse in Canmore since its up in the mountains.
We have the army helicopters scooping up people from roof tops in High River and other communities.
Many areas in Calgary are having mandatory evacuation of home owners. Our province and city have very good emergency plans, and they are working well. The clean up will be long and costly!
The main thing is that my XS650 is safe and dry
