Fork Brace

A while back I installed a fork brace from Mike's XS. Never did like it, front end seemed very stiff, so I pulled the fork out to see what was going on. The brace was putting a tremendous side load on the tubes. Next I'll try one from Hugh's Handbuilt.

I would expect to find Hugh's brace to be superior quality, but doesn't it require the fender to be deleted?

There is another style brace available.

Those look good, I'll take a look at them. The braces are on a cafe bike with no front fender,
