fork side screw oring

That small single phillips screw on the side of the forks. I lost the oring inside. Just a regular rubber oring? would a visit to the plumbing section at home depot suffice?

Couldn't find anything at mikesxs about it. Not even sure what it does
 
If you mean the drain screw for the fork oil, it's not an o-ring but rather a little fiber washer of some sort. It seals the screw in the hole since its holding oil in, just like the seal ring on your engine oil drain plugs.
 
Does the athena gasket kit have these by chance??
I have not found them in the Athena kits I have purchased.

You could try your local hardware store. Bring measurements.

BTW, it is unlikely that the washer came out. Look deep inside with a flashlight; it might still be there.
 
No, they're not included in the Athena kit. This is a tiny little sealing washer that fits that tiny fork oil drain screw. It usually either comes off with the screw or stays stuck in the depression in the side of the fork leg. That depression isn't very deep so it's pretty easy to see the washer if it's stuck in there.
