Removed the bolts holding the front disc to the wheel. It's really on there! What is the next step, I didn't want to force anything, should I remove the rubber gasket or? I did a search but couldn't find anything. thx.

What year bike? They made these things for like 15 years you know, and there were changes to things (like the brakes).

1979 I just didn't want to force it, there is a hard rubber gasket in front of it thx

I cannot figure out what hard rubber gasket you are speaking of. The hub does extend past the rotor a bit.

How goes the project Resto, is it going to hit the road this year?

On the mag wheels the hub is painted black.

I would hit it with some rust buster then hit around the edge of rotor with a soft rubber mallet til it works loose.

Sorry for the confusion on the gasket, I was referring to the "hub dust cover" I will try gggGary's rust buster and soft rubber mallet. Hopefully I should have it on the road by July.
