This brake line is on a 1977 XS650D saws-all spacial. I would like to know if i can do away with the line splitter,(not sure of its nomenclature). Is this intended for dual disc. What are the Cons of doing away with it. Is a continuous line an option or is this a proportioning valve. Where do you purchase an extra long line. If this is in another thread, please advise. found it(Brake Caliper Hose Manifold) Thanks Dirty

No cons brotha, to be honest its less places for it to leak. Lots of guys on here do it. I know when i swap to my 35mm frontend, I'll be going with a one peice line.

MikesXS sells a single 41" Long line for ~$40, I'm sure you can find one for less if you look around.

It is a common modification when going to the low elastic SS line. You can add a second disk later and still not use the splitter manifold by running the second line from the original caliper, over the top of the fender to the new caliper on the other side.
