I haven't had much time to get my bike sorted. Bike was running perfectly (still is) about 6 weeks ago. One float valve got stuck, so I sorted that a few weeks ago. Started the bike at the weekend only to find more fluid leaking. I can't work out where it is coming from. It seems to be in the area of the counter sprocket. It also seems to be a mixture of fuel and oil. I know I am probably not going to get good news......anyone have ideas?

What's the oil level? A leaking float lets fuel into the intake tract, which while sitting leaks all the way to the crankcase raising the fluid (now oil and fuel) level. The now thinned oil may get past old oil seals like the clutch pushrod and countershaft sprocket. Change the oil soon. Maybe the seals can be saved.

Petcock(s) functioning properly?

NONclow..........that may very well be it. I will check this evening. I thought it was oil to begin with, but smells like fuel. You're a star

Thanks for your help
