Fuel in my exhaust

I have a 1980 xs 650 that I hard tailed, installed a pma and Pamco. I have rebuilt bs34s with stock jetting. The jetting that was one step up fouled my plugs within minutes and caused soot and fuel out of the exhaust. I adjusted the cam chain, valves and timing. The floats are brass and at 27.3 mm and I can confirm the needle and seat are solid. I'm running uni pods and straight pipes. I've read the carb guide front to back and I'm still struggling. any ideas?

Hi, have you checked that the ignition is spot on? Perhaps you could try and see if both pipes reach same temp, use a IRT for this..
