When i put my engine back together, and i do have the athen gasket set, should i use yamaha bond on the bottom and top crank case? And should i use it on all the other gaskets, the athen set says not to use any gasket sealing stuff on it but i was just wondering?

I would use Yamaha bond on the case half's and the metal to metal surfaces on the top end. I would not use it on any other gaskets. On the paper cover gaskets I apply bearing grease only. The grease absorbs into the gasket to help seal. The grease keeps oil from passing through the gasket.

Yamabond (Threebond) on the crankcase halves & the rocker box to cylinder head surfaces as mentioned above - I would also use some on the sump trapdoor gasket as they usually weep/leak a little.

search for 5twins or retiredgentleman posts on leakless sealing. a little sealer on the head gasket around the cam chain tunnel and some of the (wet) head studs. they also show some good technique, cheers
