so i have been very busy in the past week. traded my kh100 for some cash and a 1972 cb350, partially restored it. broke my wrist when i gently laid it down doing a whopping 5 mph!! (damn 40 year old blad tires and gravel)

anyways picked up a partially done bobber from my friend for $400. titled 1975 xs650 with tcbros hardtail that was tig welded on. he had a whole rolling chassis. butttttttt i cant just finish "His" project. so im redoing it. i got a old harley davidson AMF tank im gonna use. i started making an exhaust. i put it on my other XS. well it sounds like a riced out honda/tractor. not gonna run it. anyways here is the pictures

the failed exhaust.

Alright ASSHOLES, I said "failed attempt exhaust" I wanted to try something different so I did. Yea it is unfinished, sounds and looks gay, but I stepped outside the box. So I figured I would put it back on just to take a picture to piss you guys off.

Yeah I agree "failed attempt exhaust".But good for you for trying something different.
I'm diggin' the bike though. What fender is that?
I'm building a Tc bro's hardtail too.

That would be almost impossible to take the strain off of the weld at the triple tree. It would fatigue and crack very quickly. If you wanted to try that you'd at the very least have to go up quite a bit with the thickness of the round stock.

Maybe by welding another piece each side of the main one welded to larger bracket, like a reverse devil fork, it probably take some spring off!! Just shooting!

Keep it on! I'm looking for a CB350 projet as a '' wife bike '' too!

Suscribed to art!!

Dude. If you really hate that bike, just say so.

Kidding. I thought it looked neat. But you'll be making a new one in no time.

Also, at least get the bike running with that exhaust.

I was thinking the same I will have to stare at it for a while and figure something out lol

I dig the light mount. But it's gunna shake like a leaf on a tree. The best way to solve it is with a pencil and paper draw up some ideas then pick one and go with it! Innovation will push the industry that's the way it's always been. No one likes change at first. FTF

Well I really have no clue what direction I'm going for anymore. I started making and mocked up a cafe style cowl. Looks very odd right now but I think with a peanut tank and a nice radius slope on the cafe tail I will be able to pull it off. That is if I don't change my mind on what direction I want to go with for the looks
Btw I almost started my cast on fire. Note to self:never grind hardened steal and let the sparks fly into the cast

I like the different view you put on the build - keep it up, there are some great ideas starting to come out of it. As for the exhaust, I quite like it - its different, it would make a great talking point when on the road! Remember there are some main stream production bikes out there with equally as different set ups.
I am on with a bobber build myself with the TC Bros hardtail - ill keep an eye on your thread!
