ground cable relocate

In hopes that this will help someone who is struggling with ignition, lighting, starter problems. My 1978e has had all the above issues till I traced it down to the ground connection to the frame.
The original location on my bike was, as shown by the arrow, the bolt that holds the air filter boxes to the frame. The cable is now located on the frame web as shown and what a difference in starting, lights, and ignition (does not backfire).
This post is to somehow begin to repay all the kindness shown me by members.

Hi buddy,
gotta say that wasn't the ground wire's original location, it was where a PO moved it to and I'm surprised it worked at all.
The stock ground goes to a frame crosspiece behind the battery box although your placement choice works just as well.
Admittedly Yamaha's designers have made some sub-optimal decisions now and then but grounding via a rubber-mounted anti-vibration connector ain't one of them.
