Hardtail Parts

Hello All
Maybe a stupid question,one already asked, or already a thread, but I'm wondering what parts I'd need to make an 81 into a hardtail?

Of course the hardtail, I was thinking a David Bird Loop, 0 stretch, 2 drop.
A solo seat setup; seat, springs, anything else?
New exhaust - Gordon Scott
Taillight

Would I need a new chain, or a chain tensioner?

Is there anything else I'm missing?

I don't want anything super elaborate, just the basics.

The chain depends on the amount of stretch in your hardtail.
Some people run tensioners but, I have about 6 inches of stretch in mine and I didn't need one.
You'll also have to figure out the brakes. And that depends on if you're running disks or drum.

Then you'll probaby just have to extend your rod and possibly rig up a pivot if you're not using the stock one.

Oh and I have Gordon Scott curved drags. I love them!!! Which ones are you looking at?

The curved drag ones. They look awesome.
