I recently picked up a xs650 Bobber with a DNA springer front end. The axles are 3/4 so i would assume that i would be limited to only harley wheels. I have found a rear wheel on my local craigslist but is a single flange. My question is, would i be able to run a sprocket and rotor on the single flange hub of a harley wheel?

Forgive me for my obliviousness as i am new to the whole motorcycle scene!

Hi cortega,
3/4" = 19.05mm so you could sleeve the front to run a Yamaha 17mm front axle and take a die grinder to the rear frame's axle holes and enlarge them to 20mm to run a Yamaha 20mm rear axle.
I'm not familiar with Harley wheels but assume that their single flange design runs a drum brake with a sprocket on it's outside like on my old BSA?
And sprotor?
Combination sprocket and brake disk?
Does the chain run dry or will the disk still work when it's covered in chain lube?
Gawd knows my front brake didn't work all that well after the fork seal blew.
