Hello all. I have a question. I did search a bit for the answer before I decided to post. I have purchased a 1980 xs650. The rockers look quite worn. I have my 1977 xs650d engine amd the rockers and valve cover are in good shape and I cant see any wear compaired to the 1980. Are the heads compitable? Can I take the head off the 77 and put it on the 80? Again the reason is I see alot of wear on the 80 compared to the 77. I have my reasons for not running the77.

Just use the entire head.
Rocker boxes are machined to the head.
The pair should have matching numbers.
Clean swap.
