Trying to buy stock exhaust because the previous owner cut off the muffler and it's just way too loud for me. What year header/exhaust will fit my 1978 Special?

I just want to buy another set of stock exhaust. What other year will bolt right onto my 1978 special?

Pamco has an article that tells how to use a cheap reducer to mount aftermarket mufflers. I have a set of stock pipes with the reducer that I had welded on the pipes. Tony C.
I believe any of the special's will work. 78-83.

Check with Beean123. He has an original exhaust for a 1978 Special that is in pretty good shape. Was going to buy it, but it wouldn't fit my 1977 Standard.
