  1. No not really but hell its a great screen name ;)
I live in the middle Tennessee area north of Nashville to be a bit more precise and I am working on my first xs650
    tracker conversion
The forum has already given me some great info particularly about the needle/seat o ring that was leaking on my old bomb causing me a bit of grief

You didn't fool me. Kenny Roberts would have started with an RD350.

That's a sweet lookin' ride you got there. Was there a build thead?

  4. No no build thread on it I just came across this site after looking for some technical info
I got the old bike much like it is .
And thanks I love it!Its a blast to ride and I just wanted something different and more enjoyable at a "safer" pace.
I recently sold my widowmaker zx10r to concentrate on straightening out this one for riding season.

  5. I'm a 2 stroke fan but mostly yz490 type stuff
I've contemplated adding an rd or rz if not maybe an old kawi mach to the stable
Nothing like all or nothing power to get the adrenal glands in an uproar
    I'm also a v twin fan,ducati or tl1000r

Nice! Tennessee rider here too. These bikes seem to be rare around here. I'm from the Paris area (not too far from Clarksville). Maybe we can take 'em out for a ride when it warms up.

  10. Nice! !!. But....no love for the rc51?

  11. This place is full of retired and or deceased racers kind of like heaven haha!
I work in Clarksville and have ridden around the Paris area a few times. The big fish fry is famous. We do need to get together some time and air these old bikes out!
I figure if you're going to "steal" someone's identity go big ;)
The RC51 is the only twin I have no real experience with.Nice examples are fairly rare in my area but I'm open to one in the future for sure if opportunity presents itself.
Judging by your signature we share a love of similar vehicles .I'm a Mopar kinda guy and have thought quite a bit about a triumph scrambler

Welcome aboard, Kenny. I'm the real Col. Sanders.

  13. I even owned a ducati 999! Ha. The rc51 sounds awesome in street trim. Gear driven cams!

The rc51 and tl1000r were designed with one intention. To get around the world Superbike 750 cc rule for 4 cylinders that everyone was tired of. Colin Edwards and troy bayliss fought it out for 2 seasons both being hugely competitive (ducati 996 and rc51) . The sound was glorious from both bikes chasing each other for 1st place. The tl1000r was also designed for the same purpose but unfortunately suzuki pulled the plug as the next iteration of the gsxr 750 was better in the handling department.

Maybe you knew as you seem to be a good Ole race fan. Seems like the u.s.a. is all moto gp though and love for sbk.
