How to get rust and junk off pm flywheel?

I am doin a permanant magnet charging system, and the flywheel is rusty.
Theres a lot of stuff (flakey rust mostly) stuck to the magnets on the inside of the flywheel.
I have it a lot cleaner than it was, but there is still small stuff on it. I have used compressed air, and wiped it with a rag at the same time.

Any secrets to get it super clean?
