How to reinstall chain guard?

Did a search and couldn't find an answer. I tried removing the lower bolt for my left side shock and I still couldn't find a way to maneuver the guard back in place. It came off the bike when I bought it.

Am I missing a trick or something?

It's bear to get in, but with the wheel loose, drop the adjusters down, you can get it in. A kind of a secret handshake wiggle twist is needed.
