Ive got a 74 TX that runs fair after updating the charging system and installing mikuni screw top carburetors. I like the cafe look and if I go in that direction I'd need to back up the look of the ride with performance upgrades. My question, what are the most importain engine mods and how much can I expect to pay for parts. A crank change is out of my budget at least for now. Thank you in advance.

#2 an exhaust that is designed for the riding style you prefer.
#3 now really get those carbs tuned. Which "screw top" Mikunis are you running?
Then you can think about displacement and cam.
